In supporting the Peter Bullough Foundation, you provide assistance to working artists and new artistic experiences to our Shenandoah Valley community. Below we have listed a number of ways to provide sponsorship or contribute  to the Peter Bullough Foundation.

Via Stock

The PBF is very happy to accept donations of stocks, bonds or other securities, and a donation receipt can be provided.  Please contact Katie at (540) 665-5162 for detailed instructions to give your broker or financial advisor.

Directly from your IRA

If you are over 70½, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA directly to the PBF. A QCD can help you reach your Required Minimum Distribution without having to pay income taxes on your donation. Call Katie at (540) 665-5162 or your financial advisor for more information. The PBF's tax identification number is 83-1954927.

What does my donation mean to the PBF?

$25-50 stocks the residency with necessary office, cleaning, and other essential supplies for a month

$500 maintains the janitorial services for the month, making sure the space is ready for residents

$550 provides a stipend toward living expenses for one artist for one month

$750 keeps the PBF's collection available to the public and online for a year


$1,000 finances our gardening and tree services, keeping our plants healthy and in bloom for one month in the summer

$3,500 grants us the basic necessities needed to host a resident, including utilities, a living expense stipend, and cleaning costs


$12,000 provides us with the ability to fully sponsor an artist for a month; this cost includes all of the basic necessities to host a resident, in addition to providing for all the housing, application, administration, and insurance costs that go toward our program
