About the Event

Do you love to read comics and want to create your own? This workshop is for you!

You only need paper, pencil, and ideas to begin. NYT bestselling graphic novelist Robin Ha will help you jump-start your comic book idea and bring it to life. This workshop will examine comics as a powerful storytelling medium and teach you different comic techniques to share your story on paper. From brainstorming your plot to developing your characters to page layouts, you’ll get a comprehensive lesson on the creative process of making comics. This workshop is meant for all ages, no experience is required! All necessary materials and light refreshments will be provided.

While this event is FREE, we ask that you please RSVP. This workshop is held by the PBF in partnership with ARE's R.I.S.E. Center. This project was supported, in part, by the Virginia Commission for the Arts, which receives support from the Virginia General Assembly.
