About the Event
This one's for the kids! At Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum, PBF artist-in-residence, Ranger Liu, will demonstrate how to collect found sounds using something as simple as a voice memo app on your phone and lead kids through a fun, interactive, and playful composing exercise using simple symbols. Music is just a series of sounds played in an order and rhythm - kids can make their own funky music by finding sounds that are already happening around them! Participants are encouraged to bring a phone or device that has a voice memo app. Ages 7+ recommended.
Thank you to the Marion Park Lewis Foundation for the Arts for sponsoring this season's events!
