About the Event

Join us at 5:30pm on Thursday May 9 for a book launch and reading in the gardens of the Peter Bullough Foundation with writer, founder of 1455 Literary Arts, and director of the new Center for Story at Shenandoah University, Sean Murphy. Following his three books of poetry published during the last few years, This Kind of Man is his first collection of short stories. Murphy will read from this work, which offers an unvarnished look at life in 21st Century America, excavating the complicated, tender, wild truth of what it is to be a man across generations and relationships. Light refreshments from Bonnie Blue will be served. This event is free thanks to the gracious sponsorship of Bonnie Blue, First Bank, and the Marion Park Lewis Foundation for the Arts, but we do ask that you please RSVP!
