About the Event
Join us for a special workshop with writer-in-residence Anindit Dutta! A story does not have to tell us everything that happens, and it certainly doesn’t have to tell it in order. As writers, we stretch seconds into pages, leap across years, linger on the past, and withhold crucial moments to shape how readers experience a story. In this workshop, we’ll explore how we can play with time. We will stretch it, skip it, scramble it, and slow it down, and explore how all of that can reveal character, create voice and interiority, build suspense, and transform even ordinary events into compelling fiction. Bring a story idea and an open mind, and let’s see what happens when you take control of the clock. Snacks will be provided!
Thank you to the Marion Park Lewis Foundation for the Arts for sponsoring this season's events!
